Hey! I’m really sorry that my explanation was confusing and didn’t help you. Maybe this one will be better?
Reading is important because it’s a different way of looking at the world. It allows the reader to become the characters in a book by getting to know them. You can learn so much about strangers, for example, just by reading about them in a book.
Reading is a great way of learning about the world and all the people who live in it, and it’s also a wonderful escape from reality. As another example, if you read fantasy books, you can read about things like magic and wizardry and aliens and fantastic planets with living creatures on them.
Reading is a way to escape ordinary life and dig deeper into a new one. Plus, the lessons you learn from reading are lessons that you can keep forever.
After finishing a book that you enjoyed, often you’ll feel very satisfied, because it’s almost like accomplishing a goal.
Once you finish a book, you’re able to carry the story you just read inside you. Reading a story and connecting with it can make you a different person entirely.
Plus reading can make you more open to new ideas and make you more knowledgeable about the world and everything that goes on in it. I wouldn’t be writing so much if I weren’t a reader. Reading has helped me grow in my writing immensely.
But most of all, reading is awesome for the imagination! It makes the reader so much more creative and open to new ideas.
Please let me know if that helped more than the first explanation I wrote that she sent to you! :)
