Is it strange that I write a poem in stages? Like I write little snippets of the poem, not yet knowing where exactly they are going to go. It can tend to take me a while to finish because of this. Plus, I never feel like a poem is done or it's not right so that just makes the process a little bit agonizing for me.

I don’t think it’s strange at all, and maybe it’s better to do that than forcing yourself to write a poem all at once. Sometimes I have to do that too, and I keep a notebook filled with short phrases and sentences that I haven’t used or need to find a way to use. xo
