I know writers hate the assumption that they are the speaker of their pieces, so I don't mean that, but do you feel like you relate to all your speakers, or is there a piece that felt more foreign to you, where you stretched yourself a bit more to try to imagine that perspective?

I really like this question; it’s a great one! Thank you for asking.

I feel like I do relate to most of my speakers, but for instance, “Love Letters Sent Via Fridge”

felt like more of a stretch for me to write. That’s mainly because it was about a same-sex, female relationship, and I’ve never been attracted to another female in a romantic or sexual way my entire life, so it was kind of a stretch. But I enjoyed writing from that perspective, because it was new and different for me, and I felt that it was a very important topic to write about. :)
