Today I asked the people on this website to write me the truest sentence they know, based off of the classic quote by Ernest Hemingway. I received fifty plus sentences, each of them at once unique, tragic, beautiful, and heartbreaking. Some of them are quotes by famous authors; others are phrases spoken to ease everyday aches and pains. Some are whispers uttered at night to a lover. Yet as I read them I began to notice their parallels and realized they make up a conversation from one soul to another. These are people who live thousand of miles away yet have so much in common. These are the people with sad eyes and lonely hearts you will pass on the street without ever giving a second glance to, and these are the people who will make you shatter.
