Some girl just laughed at me for having a double chin and said she didn't like my photos online because I don't look like that (i.e pretty) in real life and I haven't stopped crying since. I'm disgustingly fat and I hate myself for it and I told my family for reassurance but they're all saying "you should've been mean back!" rather than "you're not fat" and I feel awful.

I really dislike how some people, like that girl, think that your self-worth is measured in pounds.

It’s not.

Your self-worth is measured in the number of breaths you take, because those breaths mean that you’re still alive and still breathing. And you know, it takes a tremendous amount of courage and effort to just live and exist sometimes, especially when someone is insulting you like that girl is.

Just breathe in and out slowly, just take long deep breaths, and relax. Add some more breaths to your collection, because you already have about ten thousand of them, and…

you’re worth each and every single one.

*hugs*
