Because one half of our heart is wrong and misguided, and so it tries to fit the sharp edges of itself like a key into the heart of another person, but their lock is just too misshapen or too small or big, and it doesn’t fit. So the edges never align and we’re just not meant for them, or they’re not meant for us.
