I was wondering, I'm in the process of seeking out an agent and though I am a long way away... about how long did it take between the actual publisher contacting you and your book hitting the shelves? I hear someone said it could take up to two years and I am so impatient I hope that's not the case!

Hello! Obviously the publishing process will be very different for everybody, but it only took a few months between initial contact with my publisher and the book actually being released.

That’s partly due to the fact that most of my manuscript was completed by the time I got in contact with my publisher, which saved a lot of time/work for us!
