I don't know if this has ever been asked before. But when you write your poetry are you imagining the scenes from the words you are writing or just the thought of the words them self that your writing down.

That actually has never been asked before. It’s a very interesting question.

I’d have to say that I do imagine some of the scenes, but only the scenes that are most vivid. Normally if the scene involves nature of some sort or a landscape (trees, riverbed, mountain), I tend to imagine it in my head more so than just the words.

I also tend to imagine scenes involving bodies- skin, hands, bones, human contact, that kind of thing.

Sometimes I don’t imagine the scenes in my head at all, and sometimes they’re very vague, like sketches or outlines of things.
