Thank you so much, lovely. x
Quietly dreaming, we lay side by side
in a field of frost, limbs tangled like string
the white stars burning above us with the tide
of the ocean, which began to softly sing.
And our bodies sparked- then they caught on fire,
the matchbox and tinder of our red mouths
eating the sky like a funeral pyre
as the snow coated the land from the south.
Gently, you took my calm heart in your arms
then spun it until it waltzed merrily,
a tiny bird freed from its cage of harms
which had once ensnared it quite terribly.
In the cold, the apples dropped like pale bones
from their branches, and decayed into stones.
