Can I ask you what you writing was like when you were fifteen? Sometimes I feel that my words will never be better. Has your work improved much over the last few years? What steps did you take to make it better? I love your writing, by the way. You're amazing.

I can’t tell you what writing was like when I was fifteen because I started writing pretty soon after turning seventeen. Yes, I do believe my work has improved over the last two-ish years.

To improve, I basically just read and read and read other writers’ work, and tried to identify techniques that I admired in their work, and I also paid close attention to their unique styles, so that I could combine those stylistic elements to create my own unique style.

Read, read, read, practice, practice, practice, and most importantly: pour your whole heart into it. :)
