do you think complete compatibility between lovers is too much of a fairytale or should all lovers bonds be flawed in some way? i know people like to read about overcoming odds and admitting imperfections, but do they like the opposite as well? does it exist?

It’s possible it does exist, but if so, I’ve never heard of it happen yet.

I do think there are probably some people out there who love fairytale romances with sprinkles on top, but the truth is, having flawed characters is so much more interesting. People want conflict because it keeps them rooting for the characters, keeps them hooked.

If you wrote a completely fairytale romance, I doubt readers would be enthralled for long.

Plus, look at the Disney movies-there’s plenty of conflict packed into those things, and they’ve had major success.
