Any acclaimed bit of literature you do not particularly care for yourself, or even dislike? Which works are these, and why your disdain for them?

The Great Gatsby; I absolutely despised it because of the disconnected writing style and the way he seemed to almost treat his characters like objects and not human beings with real desires and feelings. I felt like I never once saw inside a single character; everything was so superficial and glitzy.

Yes, of course most of that was intentional, so maybe I should say I technically dislike the era that inspired the novel, but I couldn’t stand the book or writing itself.

(Sorry to any Gatsby fans, but that’s just my opinion.)
