Is there a reason why you write most of your poems in couplets? And also, how long do you leave a poem unfinished for before finally completing it? I seem to have a rising problem of having too many drafts because I just can't seem to find the inspiration to finish the poem or it just doesn't feel right /: I love your writing by the way, it's very thought provoking :) Keep it up!

I’m very confused, because a couplet is a pair of lines that normally rhyme and have the same meter, and I absolutely despise rhyming poetry so I never use it. I know couplets don’t always rhyme (although they usually do), but I never pay attention to meter either because I think that’s completely unnecessary. So I don’t write my poems in couplets….at least not intentionally?

To answer your second question, I always finish my poems in one swoop because I dislike having several unfinished pieces sitting around.
