I have struggled with heroin addiction for about a year and a half, I am now almost six months sober. I just came by to say that you're poems are a tremendous inspiration. I used to write a lot of poetry and I fell out of it awhile ago, and I've been writing since I got clean, because of your work. Just seeing these beautiful, breath taking poems you write really make getting up every morning so much better. Thank you.

First of all, a huge congratulations to you for being almost six months sober. That’s an incredible accomplishment, and a very difficult one, so you should be very proud of yourself for reaching that milestone.

Secondly, I’m overjoyed to know that my poetry has inspired you to write again after getting clean. That’s wonderful. I hope poetry helps you through the next six months of saying clean.
